Analysis
Analysis
One of the things that helps many players is being able to analyze positions well. You often hear about chess players thinking 20 moves ahead. I try to do this, but, like most people I am often unsucessful. In reality, easier (and often more useful) is to find a position that would give a large advantage and try to make it a reality. This could take from 2 moves to 35 moves, but is easier than to really think ahead.
Also useful is to try to actually see a move on the board. In your mind, try to actually move the piece (IN YOUR HEAD!!!!!) this may make it easier to find the next move after the one you are playing.
